IDEA: Obtain user feedback on Google Dictionary

Hi Google,

Here is an improvement idea for your Google dictionary product, a way to collect user picks definition data. (read the explanation below)

The current definition list result on Google dictionary provide good explanation variation on term we ask, and that is too great that we don’t need to click the URL provided to understand the term we ask for. (Excellent job, Google Team) But, this is also means Google lose the chance to collect precious data, which definition exactly has helped the user understand better since they don’t click it.

To catch this data, you can provide an input element that user can submit “this definition help me understand better” on each definition. I think this is an area where Google Team can improve their Google dictionary product, by getting this precious ‘user picks’ definition.

User can choose which definition help them understand better. With this feedback, Google will know which definition is the best for the term.

Also, it is good to provide a input element that user can provide “none of these definitions help me understand better” feedback. This feature will provide signal which area to review. You can put it on top & bottom of definition list.
